Thank you.
We do need a licence to keep herps, and the legalities differ from state to state which sucks beacause there are so many other herps that i would like to get.

So you need a licence for each animal?

Once you have your licence do you go collect from the wild? buy from a shop? Breeder?

What if you wanted to breed your black head one day. Would you need a licence to breed.

Sorry about all the questions but im curious!

No Probs with the questions it is all pretty confusing even to me.

Once you get a licence you can by off a private breeder or a commercial dealer (ie petshop), the one licence covers a large amount of herps (& birds), wild collection is illegal on most licences - they only give out a number of permits to collect from the wild, the licence that i have in Victoria allows me to breed what ever i have in my collection

I hope that this explaination isnt too confusing
