Default nosey mitsio 10 days later

well here's my nosey mitsio 10 days on and looking good I think. he is eating well and very active. the 'thermal burn' on his dorsal crest is still the same and is obviously his colouring, very attractive if I say so myself !
He is not keen on drinking even though I mist him loads and spray so it drips from the mesh on the roof. i have put more plants in so he has plenty of places to drink.

Anyhow i thought people would be interested to see how he is going on, I was quite worried about him this time last week.

yes it may just be his colouring, something just doesnt seem quite right tho,you will know if it is a burn if it starts discolouring soon.

Hi Jenny, Im so pleased he is doing ok. He's very preety, when you first posted pics I thought it was just his colouring but I admit Ive never experienced or seen a thermal burn before. His eyes look a bit sunken in the first pic so may be a bit dehydrated its difficult when they dont drink well, perhaps try & gutload his insects well with fruit & veg. Ive 2 panthers Malcolm my old boy who has always drank really well & Rhydian who is a nightmare Ive tried everything to no avail so I now syringe him about 1ml every other day he is very good and dosnt mind. What are his urates like are they nice & white or a bit orange? All the best with him I know what a worry they can be. Heatherxxx

Thanks so much Heather and Muji. I was getting a bit down and thinking I had bought such an unhealthy cham that maybe I was going to lose him. His 'thermal burn' is still yellow and I'm sure its his colouring as it doesn't change at all.. His poos are brown with the white, no sign of orange. I even sprayed his crickets today in an effort to get water into him as he loves them and I hand feed him every day as his tongue is sticky but his aim is hopeless.

The panther i had before used to drink loads but this one won't touch a drop, hopefully in time he will improve all round, he's certainly very active and a lovely tame boy.

sorry if i made you panic by mentioning the thermal burn but it is an unusual marking and in the first pics you posted of him it looked much wider. to me it looked very much like a burn as the first thing you will see is a lighter colouration along the dorsal crest,i have seen this many many times and certainly could of been the case with your boy with the way you had the basking spot positioned directly on top of the mesh, and then vines close enough for him to touch his back on top of the screen.
