Default Rodent Bottle Drinking?

Hey,

Am getting my new Cham in a couple of weeks and am currently setting up the cage.

I have heard of people getting their Cham's to drink out of a rodent bottle? I was just wondering how they have gone about this!?

I have a spay system in place and will also spray manually if needed but if i can get them to drink out of a bottle, it will certainly be handy!

Thanks in advance
-Daryl

Thanks,

I will have a dripper, but if I'm away for a night or so, it would be handy if I could get him to drink from this! I know not all Chams do it, but I'm sure I've seen people on here get there Chams to drink from it...

Cheers

I used to squeeze one in front of my first female (before I made drippers for my lot) and she would drink from it, but it made my hand ache holding and squeezing it! I had thought about fixing one in the cage, it seems logical that they will be attracted to the silver ball and drip on he end, but I always had the nagging though in the back of my mind that she might get her tongue stuck in it somehow. I made my other chams drippers - Tommy sits under his like a shower and drinks, but I hardly ever see Amy use hers. I have just introduced one to my baby Jackson today but not seen him use it yet either! Drippers are easy to make using an old plastic bottle/jar, an adjustable airline valve and some airline tubing. You could even use something as simple as a pinhole in the bottom of a plastic cup. You will also need some kind of container (covered with netting so the cham can't fall in) to catch the water or the cage will flood unless you set up some kind of drainage system.

Thanks for the help!

I think i have a little dripper somewhere lying around so i may use that, but if i can't find it, i will certainly use your ideas!

I did not think about the tongue regarding the bottle, i wouldn't have thought it would be an issue but you never know!

Cheers
