Thumbs down Chopping pictures.

I have just started a thread about my new bp and had some really nice pictures taken of her but to upload the pics I had to chop most of each pic away and ended up by only uploading a tiny fraction of each pic. This ruined them and it annoyed me that I had to do it.

Can allowance on the uploaded thumbnails be made a lot bigger so that pictures do not have to be chopped so harshly. See my thread 'Hello, I am Pumpkin'. The head shots started out as pics of the whole snake.

Why so small?

when i resize mine its only the picture that gets smaller, if its of the entire snake then it stays the entire snake. how are you resizing yours?? i do it on the computer with paint.

I tried that once and it would not accept them. I will give it another go but I have had to chop lumps off my pics to it to up load them. If I can get it to do it hopefully I can put the original pics up as I kept copies of them.

Fingers and everything else crossed.

Or, you could use photobucket, resize them to the size limit, and upload them that way...........

The settings on the photo attachments should easily allow for an image 800x600 to be uploaded, the thumbnail will shrink it but of course it goes full size again when someone clicks on your image.

Instead of cropping your image, just re-save them at a new size, 800*600 would be best. Failing that join photo bucket etc and upload to there, then just hot link your images back to the forum.
