Question Lost The Interest To Hunt?

Ok, This May Be A Confession On My Part.
I Had My Leos At 5 weeks, They Are Now 8 Months. When They Were Orginally On Crickets They Would Hunt Them Fine As The Crickets Couldnt Really Hide Anywhere.

They Got Board Of Being On Black And Brown Crickets And So I Put Them Onto Mealworms, Which Was Fine.
But The Problem Was That I Made It Easy For Them To Get Their Food, They Didnt Have To Make An Effort Getting The Mealworms.

I Have Just Put Them Back Onto Black And Brown Crickets And Its Like They Have Become Lazy. They Do The Whole Tail Shake And Everything But They Seem To Do Be Slow On The Whole Catching A Cricket Front, Or They Miss Once And Not Bother.

Have I Made Them Lazy, Its Almost That They Forgot How To Hunt Or Lost Their Skill.

I Hope This Makes Sence.
Please Help Or Please Tell Me If Im Just Flapping Over Nothing.

A very simple thing to to.

As long as they are not skinny and looking like a rack of ribs.

Up the temp a few degrees and make sure they have fresh water daily and dont feed them for about a week or two.

They are getting fussy and training you ! ! ! !
After a week or two put a MAXIMUM of 2 cricket per leo into the tank and watch the fun, when they scoff the crickets dont feed them for a another day and then feed them a FEW crickets again.

If they dont eat everything in the tank that crawls or wriggles within minutes (I mean minutes and not hours or overnight) after it is introduced then dont feed for a few days.
Adult leos should be fed 2 or 3 times a week and 4-5 crickets at a time MAX.

5 and 7 grams ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

At 8 months old they should be 40 to 50 grams

Have you got any recent photos ?

Why has the male lost weight ?

Leo's are gut buckets and get fat very easily, for one to lose weight something has to be seriously wrong.
Have you checked for worms ?

Here are a few old photo's of fat leos

Here are a few which are just right

Here is one of a trio of skinny WC (allegedly) leo's which had worms

but once treated started to fattened up very quickly (within a few weeks)
