Default Sentec Reptile Cages

I have been in discussions with Eric Nehring of Sentec for about 2 months now, I would say that we are now in the final stages of this deal. I have imported by air freight a 6 foot viv and the CB 70 Iris tub Ball Python rack which are now in Surrey Water Gardens and Pet Centre, Clandon Park, Surrey. I have done this to conduct important market research on these products and even though the air freight was nearly triple the price of these enclosures I felt that it was a price worth paying.

I have decided to use UK heat mats and stats for this product so this is the reason that I have not mentioned it before as we have been working very hard to get the conditions right which we now have. We have animals going in today. I will hope to have a full price list up in 2 weeks so please bear with me on this important issue. The pitfalls regarding importing goods like this are many ! but at least now I have some limited experience of international freight.

I have some pictures of the units in Surrey Water Gardens. Unfortunately my camera decided to pack in on me so I had to use my compact but they are not too bad.

Firstly we have the 6 foot Viv it is 18" high and 30' deep. Slam latch doors and a removal partition.

We have heated it with Habistat Heat Mats and use a Habistat Pulse Stat. The lights are provided bt Sentec, are 230 V and are earthed.( we did replace the red tape with aluminum tape)

The CB70 Ball Python Rack with Iris Tubs

The Chrome Poll was fitted by us to provide security in the shop!

We have heated this with 5 heat mats. 2 (3foot by 11") down either side and a heat mat under the bottom tub. This unit is run on two habistat pulse stats.

Thank you for looking. I realise that prices are very much what people want to know and I am working very hard with Eric and my shipping agent to sort this out very soon. My first priority was to get this enclosures in and see what people think of them.

Kind Regards

Andrew

Andrew they look very nice, neat and tidy. Love the idea of the two available compartments on the vivs, would think that people with DWA's would find them invaluable.

As you say, the price is needed, but you are working on that I see.

Thats a good point or even if you have a narky boa or python.

Quick question, could you not put a heat mat under each tub?

Thanks Dave, Are you still able to come down to Surrey Water Gardens and give your opinions ?

Yes I could do that but it would be expensive and this market is very competitive at the moment. As the rack is enclosed the 2 sides being heated works well. The snake can still get excess to the sides which is just as hot as the base would be. We have royals in them in the moment so we are keeping a very close eye on them ! But what you said is definitely an option, The back wall screws off so access is fairly easy.
Thanks James !

I take it there isn't enough room to sqweeze some heat cable under the tubs? Be interesting to see how the royals get on, I really like the look of these.

Plenty of room James ! it again is an option, but I would have to fit it and get it looking 100% right, or i could sell it bare !
