They're looking great, Nick!

I don't think Thomas was questioning the legality of your animals, but may have asking who bred them because he's been to my place and one of your males is a dead ringer for my pair's bloodline.

I have eggs in the incubator at the moment, after several failures (females scattering eggs instead of using the nest box). The eggs I'm incubating came out a bit thin, but so far seem to be doing okay.

Ah, okay. Yes that male of mine does look like it could have been one of your babies, but the guy I purchased him from (ANTARESIA1), seemed to think he was bred by someone else. I wonder, though?

I seem to recall that you got one from someone that had actually bought one from me, but he said that was not the one he sold to you?

Regardless, that male in the first shot (which also appears in a few others) looks very much like the ones my pair produce - in colouration, patterning and even head shape.

Yes, that's right, ANTARESIA1/Andy (from Taree) did also have one of yours. However, if I remember correctly, he told me that the one I purchased from him had been sold to him as a youngster from a guy in Newcastle. He assumed that this keeper had bred it, but I think it's quite possible this guy didn't breed it at all, and perhaps purchased it from you?

Do you know of any breeders in Newcastle producing young like yours?

He looks very reminiscent of your line in this photo, where his banding is more noticeable than usual (He'd just soaked himself under the hose on a hot day, washing away his normally dusty appearance).

I'll email Andy and ask where he got it from. My guess is that he bought it from someone in Newcastle that I had bought it from me.
