Default Dwarf Monitors - which one?

I've been interested in getting a pair of dwarf monitors for a while, was thinking ackies however now I am thinking it would be good to get a pair of another australian dwarf monitor species, just to have something a bit different.

Currently I'm thinking either storri, kingorum, gilleni or caudolineatus, but I was wondering if anyone on here has had experience with any of them and able to suggest one. I'm after an active monitor with a lot of personality, preferably easy to breed and the viv I have in mind is 4x2x2foot.

My favourites are gilleni and kingorum (both leucistics and normals).

So yeah if anyone can share some opinions or experience with these lizards it would be very much appreciated.

One last question, anyone seen any normal kingorum for sale, I'm just trying to get an idea of price and I've only seen leucistics for sale

If I was going to get any small monitor it would be a kimberly rock monitor. Pretty sure you would need something bigger than a 4ft viv for a pair though. Good luck on your search for information.

I emailed a breeder who has worked with most of the ones I mentioned above and he recommended ackies or gilleni. However I am still tempted by the kingorum, theres just something about the idea of having a whitish pink leucistic monitor that really draws me to them. Would love a pair of gilleni and a pair of kingorum (one leucy, one normal).

Varanus kingorum are awesome. We currently have 2 pairs. We hatched one lucy so far and have more eggs incubating. A really cool, bold species. You will love them.

Here are some pics.

They are awesome! and the little baby leucistic is gorgeous. What size vivarium do you keep them in?
