Default Morph of the year 2010 - $1500 of prize money!

After the success of our first ever Morph of the year competition in 2009 we are once again running this for the 2010 season.

I've spoken to Markus Jayne again and we have both decided to change the format slightly this year, basically we now have TWO first place prizes.

First off is Best Single Gene morph, so all your pastels, spiders, pins etc. This will allow everyone breeding to enter the competition, it will also help show just how beautiful single gene morphs are in their own right.
The winner of this will receive a $500 voucher to be spent on any Markus Jayne ball python that I have in the UK (2010's arriving in Aug/Sept).

The second category is Best Combination Morph, so this will be two or more genes. The winner of this will receive $1000 voucher (used same as above).

Rules are below - Post your photo entries http://www.captivebredreptileforums....tml#post387440
  1. Must be a ball python YOU have hatched
  2. Must of hatched between 1st Jan 10 to 31st Dec 10
  3. Photos can be posted up until 31st Dec 2010
  4. ONLY one entry per morph and only ONE photo for each morph entry
  5. FULL body shot is required, head shots do not give enough to judge on
  6. Photos MUST be uploaded to the forum (no photo bucket etc)
  7. Winners can only spend their voucher Markus Jayne UK stock.
  8. This competition is OPEN world wide but transportation of your choosen snake must be paid (we can deliver to Hamm and UK free of charge).
I reserve the right to add to or amend these rules as needed.

The winners will be decided by votes from forum members after Markus & I have narrowed all entries down to a short list of up to 20 for each category.

I'd like to thank Markus Jayne Ball Pythons for their genorosity is once again sponsoring this competition and donating the prize fund.

Very cool :)

I like the idea of the single gene prize also - opens it up to more and should mean we see some stunning examples of them

Thank you to Scott and Markus for once again giving us all a chance to win a beautiful gift, just wish that I could take a decent photo....

How old is the baby allowed to be ? If in December 2010 I took a photo of one of mine that had hatched in April, would that be unfair ? Must the photos be of hatchlings ?

Hi Sue,
Good question, the answer is so long as it is a 2010 HATCHED snake you can take the photo when you feel is best for that morph, some look best straight out the egg others look their best at a few hundred grammes.

The important point is just remembering you only have one photo per morph entered so don't waste the photo chance. You can of course enter as many different morphs as you like (that you hatched lol).
