Animal rights: The inmates are now running the asylum and the doctors have all been eaten.

We all have our ways of dealing with the stresses of life. I and my siblings experienced some traumatic events as children... one has had a long term drug problem because of it. I tend to shut myself off and go into my own world when faced with certain types of problems. I have very good recall of events in my life, almost as though I am watching a video.... which is great for those special moments shared with people and places visited.... but not when I find myself recalling really bad things...... even the not so bad, such as snake-bites for example, feeling the fangs go in etc.

I can understand why people turn to drugs and alcohol... it is a way of coping... but ultimately it brings it's own problems.
