Default Tiger dies in front of zoo visiters! Warning images are not for the faint harted

Yesterday after feeding the tigers in Rotterdam Zoo one of the tigers choked in piece of meat.

At first you see a bulge appear in the neck region and then it's trying to vomit... After that the horrible struggle for air starts... followed by death.

If the zookeepers where alerted earlier, they could not have done anything. You can not step inside the enclosure of a live tiger..

Unfortunatly these things happen...

Again do not watch the video if you think you can't stand it.. The images are graphic and real!!!

He was quite an impressive male. Such a shame, but it happens.
At least he managed to sire 6 offspring during his life.
And he did have kidney problems, so who knows how long he would have lasted if this hadn't happened.

That is unfortunate....R.I.P. big boy....enjoy your wilderness in the sky, where there are no nasty people to spoil it...

It is a case for animals being fed when there are no visitors around although for some reason they seem to love it and don't complain when it's a leg or a foot or something....but when it's a whole animal with guts and all it's another story

EDIT: I wasn't quite ready to watch that video :'( ....the pacing at the beginning was enough to upset me.....then....all that....poor thing

R.I.P big fella......

That is so sad, I couldn't watch anymore as soon as he fell in to the water. Breaks my heart, such a beautiful animal......what a waste.

On a lighter note, I am glad he managed to sire that many offspring, to keep him going while he watches on from up in the clouds.
