This man has bonded with the lioness for a long time before this video was taken -- she knows him and has her whole life. The final scene is priceless. She's a beautiful lioness, one of the prettiest that I've seen. Hope that I have attached this correctly

I dont mean to be negative but that guy was very lucky!
Not only is he playing with his life just by being in with her (she could happily rip him apart while playing a game, completely unintentionally) but doing so with an animal so close to birth is just ridiculous. Consider what the hormone levels and varying emotional states will be like. Very cute video, just a little too reckless for me :) |

While those cubs are absolutely adoreable, I will say this:
It doesn't really matter how long he has "known" this lioness, she is still very much a wild animal and should be treated like one. Captive big cats, bears, etc, animals that have been in captivity for a long time, are trusted by their keepers, it is that level of trust that makes the situation a minefield. If he was free-handling large elapids, or trying to pull off the "hand in, hand back out really quickly to get the mouth to shut quickly" stunt on large crocodiles, he would be seen as a complete prick (and rightly so), but, because it's a lioness with cubs, it's accepted...Why? Messing with big cats like that, especially when cubs are concerned has got to be asking for trouble, in my mind........ Sorry for being negetive, but these things really irritate me (the videos, not those who share them)..... Thanks for sharing.
