Smile heat lamp in vivarium

I have just set up my vivarium for when my baby beardies hatch but i have put the heat lamp fitting on the left. My 5ft vivarium and other vivs i have had i put the fitting on the right i did not realise i had drilled the holes for the fitting on the left till i put the top back on the viv. It sounds like a stupid question but does it matter which side the heat lamp is on

This thread is currently being reviewed by the moderating team. Can I make the following recommendations though:

dragonman1uk - There are no stupid questions, not everyone realises things straight away, you should never be afraid to ask anything. If some pretentious nut job has the audacity to point out your question as stupid, ignore them, they will not have many friends!!! DO NOT FLY OFF THE HANDLE AND DO NOT SWEAR ON A PUBLIC FORUM.

For now I have edited out the swearing.

It doesnt matter what side the heat lamp is on, and its very easy to make this mistake especially with viv exotic vivs where you put the lid on last - ive done it a few times, the only real problem is it aggravates my OCD's as i like symmetrical looking set ups!

I like to have my heater on the right aswell, LOL at the OCD Neil. Im exactly the same.

As already said, heaters can be either side, just a preference thing.

If they are stacked vivs then ideally you want the heat source on the same side otherwise the cool end could get quite hot if there is a heater below it.
