Great shots :) those 50mm's are a great focal length for snakes :) i think eventually I'm going to want a f1.4 though!! :)

excellent shallow DoF.never thought about using the nifty for shooting my snakes! duh!

Tbh I had it left on since I last used the camera and couldn't be bothered to change it, just wanting some quick pics. Nice diffused light from the window and a sheet of paper made good conditions though!

i dont have the 1.4 only the 1.8 but for these shots either would be good, must give it go next time i have them out to shoot!

The d is 179 on amazon today! (Nikon that is)
