Well i have just finished reading the Lizard Man - The Life and Adventures of Bert Langerwerf. Firstly let me say i had a great deal of respect and admiration for Bert before i read this book. Having finished the book however that respect and admiration have been magnified ten fold. Not only was this guy a pioneer in terms of reptile husbandry but he was a very, very intelligent man.
I am not a huge reader of books but this one really is worth the time. There are many ( black & white ) pictures within the book that help with the 'story' Anyone who keeps or has an interest in lizards will enjoy this book. My verdict - 9 out of 10 The reptile community is a far less knowledgable place without Bert.

This was the first I had heard of this book.
Just ordered a copy myself, worked out to just under twenty quid including delivery direct from the publishers.
