Here's why...........This morning I went onto that forum without logging in, and was shocked to see this ad at the foot of someones post.



Yes your eyes don't decieve you, I clicked on it and its totally real.

Talk about a conflict of interest,this takes the f#@%ing biscuit!!

Al unfortunately what can you expect from the owner ? It does great for the hobby doesn't it The owner you could class being an idiot

Unfortunately RFUK owner Chris Thibault sold out to an advertising company which is in control of the adverts but to be honest they can't control what google adverts come up on the site it's all done by meta tags.

It's not that they have to pay less for the site it's so the owner can make more profit but considering he's sold out to a large company its them making the money and the old owner Chris is only making a percentage. He still owns part of the forum from what people are aware. But since the forum sell out it's become less reptile orientated and any Tom, Dick or Harry can post on there be it in regards to reptiles or to sex toys.

Your not missing much to be honest Lynne it's full of trolls and trouble makers in actual fact I would personally believe that forum causes more damage to the hobby with the amount of crap that is actually posted on there.

I only have a couple of reasons why I go on there and that is because of the classifieds which to be honest the new change looks utter rubbish and also to see what's actually going on within the hobby. But with looking through the site you can clearly see that the forum is not for reptile keepers any longer but more like a money making site. This is due to the large customer base ( Members ) But not only that it is also poorly managed and maintained it has been for years.

Shame really considering how much standing they have in the hobby most people think that RFUK is the center of reptile keeping when infact it is only a small portion.

I shall now go and hide under a rock.

that advert is disgusting tho and should be something to monitor regardless of who owns it

LOL...Yup, RFUK has gotten worse, and the cheeky ****s banned me for saying similar to what Al said in public.


Its gotten so bad (DWA Section in paticular) that atleast 3 TRUE DWA Holders have now said "I quit".

I like both forums but I am used to Australian forums which are just places for 12 years olds to tell everyone who to properly look after reptiles they themselves have never owned.

i was actually banned, and apparently if i now tried to log on it says im banned for being a tosspot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
