That's fantastic, now you're making me wish I had hibernated mine

Nice work Simon, be great if you could post up details of what you done (hibernation temps, length of time etc). Good luck on the incubation, that's gonna seem like forever.

it ended up only being 5 eggs. But I am still SO HAPPY
I start hibernation at the first of november .. they are not fed the whole months, and in the middle of nov the heating spots are turned of. Then they are at 24 degree in the vivs/boxes. Then after some days lights are turned out, and room temp lowered to 20 degree.
First december they are moved in to smaller boxes, with a small waterbowl and placed in a cooler room. The temp drops from 18 degree down to 14 degree during december. In the beginning of january, the room temp goes down on 11 degree, and slowly rises again during feb.. Then at the beginning of march they are placed in their vivs/boxes at a room temp of 20. The temp is raised to 22 during some days, and then the lights are turned on. Around march 10, the heating spots are turned on, nd then they start to feed like mad. The females are fed 2 times a week if they will eat that much, and males 1 time. April first the males and females are introduced to each other, and then the fun begins.
3 weeks before egglaying, the females makes a preshed that indicates it is close to egglaying, and the males are removed.

If i have a female that won´t eat after hibernation, i make her some "eggshake" (blenden raw eggs with alot of vitamins added) as this is super nutricios and makes her gain alot of weight

the females are totally paralyzed while laying the eggs, so i can remove them as i want. When she is finish she will make a nest and leay on the top for some days attacking everything that comes close to her, but then the eggs are allready removed. I remove them pretty fast, so she wont damage them with her claws
